Welcome to the London Old Boys’ Book Club website.

Founded in February 1948, the Club USUALLY meets on the second Sunday of every month to celebrate the halcyon days of:

  • Charles Hamilton – creator of Greyfriars, St Jim’s, Rookwood and much, much more!
  • Sexton Blake detective fiction
  • Nelson Lee, and numerous other works, by Edwy Searles Brooks

Over the years the interests of the Club and its members have expanded to included numerous other authors and their output in books, story-papers, comics and magazines.

You’ll also find us delving into the world of film, TV and radio!

AS WE DEAL WITH THE CHALLENGES OF THE COVID PANDEMIC, THE CLUB HAS CONTINUED TO HOLD MONTHLY ONLINE MEETINGS, VIA ZOOM. THESE HAVE PROVED TO BE A RESOUNDING SUCCESS – SO THE LOBBC CONTINUES TO THRIVE!

WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE NEW MEMBERS JOINING IN THE FUN!
